What we’re reading: You bought 68 items of clothing last year
dives into how overconsumption isn’t making us happier or more fashionable. True style comes from repetition, experimentation, and reflecting on why you love your clothes.Further proof of the point on TikTok - #declutter (198.7k posts) or #haul (16.9M posts).
How many of us actually track our yearly clothing purchases or spending on items that either didn't serve us or brought extreme joy?
In full transparency, I bought 48 (so says my Wardrobe Wrapped). Could I have spent less, yes. Do I absolutely love some of my purchases, also yes.
My Missoni dress? Worn once (thus far) but my favorite purchase of 2024. Those three Tropic of C swimsuits from the sample sale? Listed on F|R because they’ve served me zero. The lesson? Sample sales where I've invested physical time often lead to bad impulse buys (maybe I'll make an exception for The Row, idk) and I should stay away.
The reflection matters when you want to change your relationship to clothes. To that end, we received a ton of positive feedback on 2024 Wrapped that we’ve turned it into a consistent Stats tab to help you answer these questions for yourself. I’d be curious to know what you find.

What’s new at F|R: Wardrobe Stats
We are firm believers that visibility and transparency will make you happier with your closet.
We’ve turned our 2024 Wrapped into the Stats tab, where you can track your fashion purchases by number and spend over time, as well as what brands and wardrobe items you’re investing in. If you don’t want to dig through Rocket Money or create a spreadsheet, this is the tool for you.
Hot tip - it does work best (and with the least effort) when you link your email to F|R.
Any stats you want to see - let us know in the comments or DM us to discuss more.
